The answer

Jealousy is of two types: praiseworthy and blameworthy. A righteous wife should not be prevented from using social media without a legitimate reason. However, if suspicion arises, he has the right to prevent her.

Most often, social media platforms are a means of temptation. Therefore, the wife must obey her husband if he forbids her from using them, because he is responsible for protecting his wife from temptation, based on the Almighty’s saying: "O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire," and the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) saying: "And a man is a guardian over his household and is responsible for his subjects."

A husband abandoning his wife is not permissible absolutely and has its regulations. Praying for her death is a reprehensible act, even if she has wronged him.

It is advisable that respect and trust prevail between the spouses, and that the wife keeps away from anything that may cause suspicion.
