Why did some scholars weaken the Hadith, "Among the worst people in the sight of Allah on the Day of Resurrection is a man who has intercourse with his wife and then publicizes her secret," which is narrated in Sahih Muslim?

The scholars have agreed that the soundest books after the Noble Qur’an are the two Sahihs: Bukhari and Muslim. The Ummah has accepted what is in them, with the exception of a few narrations that some critics have challenged.

Among the criticized narrations that Muslim alone reported is: "Indeed, among the worst people in rank before Allah on the Day of Resurrection is a man who consorts with his wife, and she consorts with him, then he discloses her secret." In its chain of narration is Umar ibn Hamzah al-Umari, who is weak.

Despite its weakening, some scholars, like Ibn al-Qattan, have graded this hadith as hasan (good), while Al-Albani denounced this grading.

There are other authentic hadiths that attest to the reprehensibility of the mentioned act and condemn its doer, but they do not state that the doer is "among the worst people in rank on the Day of Resurrection." Among these are the hadith of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri narrated by al-Bazzar, and the hadith of Abu Hurayrah narrated by al-Tirmidhi, both of which liken the one who does so to Satan who satisfies his needs in front of people.
