Is continuity (al-Mawalah) a condition for ghusl, such that if a person remembers after some time that they did not wash a small part of their body, is it sufficient for them to wash only that part, or must they repeat the entire ghusl? And does residual adhesive from wound bandages prevent water from reaching the skin and necessitate repeating the ghusl, even if water has already passed over the area?

For the validity of ghusl (ritual bath) and wudu (ablution), it is a condition to remove everything that prevents water from reaching the organs of purification. If the glue is thick and prevents water from reaching [the skin], then the prayer is invalid and must be repeated. However, if it is a small amount that does not prevent water from reaching the skin, then the prayer is valid. Continuity is not a condition in ghusl according to most scholars, so whoever forgets to wash a part of their body only needs to wash the forgotten area.
