ما الدليل العلمي الذي يدحض شبهة أن الله ليس هو خالق الكون؟
There is no doubt that the existence of Allah the Almighty, the Creator, is the most manifest of all realities, and it is impossible to deny or doubt it. The Holy Quran has addressed the specious argument concerning the possibility of others sharing with Allah in creation, through what is known as the "proof of prevention" (dalil at-tamānu'), mentioned in three places:
1. Surah Al-Anbiya, Ayah 22: ﴿لَوْ كَانَ فِيهِمَا آلِهَةٌ إِلَّا اللَّهُ لَفَسَدَتَا﴾ (Had there been within them [i.e., the heavens and earth] gods besides Allah, they both would have been ruined). If the universe had two managers, its system would be disrupted and collapse, because each of them would prevent the other. This indicates that its manager is one.
2. Surah Al-Mu'minun, Ayahs 91-92: ﴿مَا اتَّخَذَ اللَّهُ مِنْ وَلَدٍ وَمَا كَانَ مَعَهُ مِنْ إِلَهٍ إِذًا لَذَهَبَ كُلُّ إِلَهٍ بِمَا خَلَقَ وَلَعَلَا بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ﴾ (Allah has not taken any son, nor has there ever been with Him any god. [Otherwise], each god would have taken what he created, and some of them would have overcome others). If there were multiple gods, each god would have monopolized his creations and tried to overpower the others, leading to the disarray of the universe.
3. Surah Al-Isra, Ayahs 42-44: ﴿قُلْ لَوْ كَانَ مَعَهُ آلِهَةٌ كَمَا يَقُولُونَ إِذًا لَابْتَغَوْا إِلَى ذِي الْعَرْشِ سَبِيلًا﴾ (Say, "If there had been with Him [other] gods, as they say, then they would have sought to the Lord of the Throne a way"). This means that they would have tried to overpower Allah the Almighty. Whoever prevails and conquers would be the Lord, and this does not fit the god they worship and claim is subjugated.
