Assalamu Alaikum. What is the ruling on entering a food buffet?

The basic ruling for entering an open buffet is permissibility, and it is not prohibited unless it leads to something forbidden. For instance, if the food served therein is unlawful, or if entering it leads to illicit seclusion with a non-mahram woman or to unlawful gazing, or if the purchase contract involves ambiguity, as is the case with an open buffet where a fixed amount is paid and a person eats as much as they desire. This is a clear ambiguity due to the varying eating habits of people.
