Is it permissible to travel for study without a mahram if accompanied by a friend or sister, given that previously, travel for study was without a mahram?

A Muslim woman is not permitted to travel without a mahram, due to the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "It is not lawful for a woman to travel for three [days] unless her mahram is with her." This applies to Muslim lands. As for her travel to non-Muslim lands, it is even more prohibited. Even those who permitted a woman's travel with a safe company restricted that to obligatory journeys like Hajj. Travel to non-Muslim lands for reasons other than necessity or need is originally forbidden, even if with a mahram. Therefore, it is not permissible for you to travel except with a mahram, and on the condition that the required knowledge is not available in your country, and that the study is at a university safe from fitna, where you adhere to the rulings of Islam, far from mixing with men and being in seclusion with them, which is difficult to achieve in Western universities.
