Is it permissible to perform Salatul-Istikhara (prayer for guidance) for choosing between three things?

It is performed when one is determined to do something, not merely for fleeting thoughts, and it was mentioned in the narrated by Jabir ibn Abdullah, may Allah be pleased with them both. There is no objection to performing Istikhara for a matter involving three or more options, but it must only be for something that a person is determined to do.
