What is the ruling on my staying with my husband who does not pray and gambles, knowing that I am pregnant by him?

The questioner is advised to exert effort in reforming the husband and to explain the danger of his abandoning prayer, which some scholars have deemed an act of disbelief. Furthermore, gambling is among the forbidden acts. One can seek help from righteous people or gift him beneficial books, while being gentle with him and supplicating for him. If the husband responds and becomes upright, there is no reason for divorce. However, if he insists on abandoning prayer and gambling, it is not advisable to remain with him, and the pregnancy is not an impediment to seeking a divorce, which may sometimes be better.
