What is the interpretation of the recurrence of thoughts and reading people's minds? And does one who does so seek the help of jinn? And can telepathy be used for communication between people?

Inspiration and the uncovering of people's thoughts are real occurrences, stemming from the self (نفساني), Satan (شيطاني), or the Most Merciful (رحماني). Disbelievers may experience partial unveiling from Satan or their own selves, while the unveiling for the allies of the Most Merciful comes from Allah. Nevertheless, no human being can know people's thoughts whenever they wish, for Allah alone is "Knower of what is in the breasts." This unveiling may occur without the servant's choice, or due to something unlawful, hence a Muslim should not exaggerate in these matters.
