What is the ruling on a man dedicating himself to seeking knowledge and worship without working, while not possessing his daily sustenance?

Devoting oneself to seeking knowledge is one of the greatest acts of proximity to Allah. However, one must balance between their obligations. Whoever has financial sufficiency is permitted to dedicate themselves to knowledge and da'wah (inviting to Islam), especially if they are beneficial. As for whoever does not have sufficient money, they must work and earn a living and not ask people, for the upper hand is better than the lower hand, and asking people humiliates the soul and diminishes prestige. A believer can combine work and seeking knowledge by utilizing available time and modern means such as the internet, as well as attending scholarly courses during holidays.
