If a child is nursed by a married woman who has milk from her first husband, scholars have differed on whether the child becomes a child of both spouses or is exclusively related to the first husband. The breastfeeding that establishes prohibition [of marriage] must consist of five full, satisfying breastfeeds within the first two years of the child's life, according to the more preponderant opinion.
