Is it permissible for me to save money by using less expensive transportation and charging the company the full transportation fare designated for luxurious means of transportation?

The ruling on an employee's circumvention regarding travel expenses varies depending on two situations:

1. If the company pays a fixed sum: The money becomes the property of the employee, and they are free to dispose of it and benefit from it, even if they use less expensive means of transportation.

2. If the company pays only the actual costs: It is not permissible for the employee to circumvent the system to take money in excess of the actual cost, unless with the permission of the employers. This is because this money belongs to the company, and it is not permissible to consume it unlawfully, as Allah Almighty says: (O you who have believed, do not consume one another's properties unlawfully but only [in lawful] business by mutual consent). And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: (It is not permissible to take the property of a Muslim except with his willing consent).
