Is zakat obligatory on money saved in an auditing office after a year has passed?

If the money earned from an auditing firm or other sources reaches the nisab (threshold) and a hawl (full lunar year) passes over it, then zakat becomes obligatory on it at the end of the year. The year begins from the time the money reaches the nisab.
