Is a wife sinful for refusing to sleep with her husband who abuses her with suspicion, beatings, and ill-treatment, despite her continuous attempts to please him?

Islam has honored women and guaranteed them their material and moral rights, including: the dower (Mahr), inheritance, the prohibition of coercing them (preventing them from marrying), good companionship, and providing housing, as explained in the verses of the Holy Qur’an. What the father is doing—abandonment and abuse—does not represent Islam; rather, it contradicts its rulings. It is permissible for a wife to abandon her husband if he harms her and wrongs her, but reconciliation and dialogue are preferred for resolving family problems.
