What is the ruling on one who attributes to Allah a body, movement, and change; does he commit apostasy or not?

The fundamental principle is that a Muslim should be meticulous in their discourse about Allah, describing Him only with what has been revealed in the two Revelations (Qur’an and Sunnah), because expressing the truth with scriptural terminology is the way of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah (the People of the Sunnah and the Community). If someone describes Allah with something that has not been established, they should be asked about what they intended. If they intended a sound meaning, it is accepted from them. If they intended a false meaning, it is rejected. If what they intended amounts to disbelief, the truth is explained to them. If they then stubbornly cling to it after the truth has become clear, and the conditions for declaring someone a disbeliever are met, then they are considered a disbeliever.
