ما الفرق بين التقوى والخوف من الله وخشية الله؟

Piety is for a servant to place a shield between himself and Allah's wrath and punishment, by obeying His commands and abstaining from His prohibitions. The fear of Allah Almighty is to be in awe of Him and to sense His greatness, and it results in piety towards Allah. As for Khashyah (reverential fear), it is a part of fear and includes awe and veneration of the object of fear, along with a breaking of the heart before it. It only comes from one who has knowledge of the object of fear.
