What is the ruling on continuous, slight bleeding due to hemorrhoids and its effect on ritual purity (tahara)?

Blood discharge from the anus, whether little or much, nullifies ablution because it issues from one of the two private parts. It necessitates performing istinja' (washing the private parts) and ablution. If the blood continues to flow throughout the prayer time, its ruling is like that of a woman with istihada (non-menstrual vaginal bleeding); it is obligatory to tie a cloth over the area and perform ablution for each prayer after its time has begun. One can then pray the obligatory prayer and as many supererogatory prayers as desired with that ablution. However, if the blood does not come from inside the anus, then washing it is obligatory, but it does not nullify ablution, as long as it is not coming from the exit point.
