Does the 'umrah that was performed during menstruation have to be redone, or is a new 'umrah counted, or is it sufficient to just redo the tawaf?

According to the majority of scholars, the woman is still in her state of ihram for the first 'Umrah, because circumambulation (tawaf) is not valid for a menstruating woman, and it is a pillar of 'Umrah. If the tawaf is invalid, then the sa'i is also invalid.

Therefore, what is incumbent upon her now is to avoid the prohibitions of ihram, and to go to Makkah to perform the tawaf and sa'i, and then to shorten her hair (taqsir) afterwards, so that she may exit her state of ihram. As for any prohibitions of ihram that she may have committed during that period, there is nothing upon her for them as long as she was ignorant of the ruling.
