What is the ruling on foreplay and attempting anal intercourse with withdrawal, and does this entail divorce or expiation?

Penetration in the anus is forbidden and a major sin. The wife is not permitted to obey her husband in this regard, for "there is no obedience to a creature in disobedience to the Creator." The wife is not divorced simply by this act, and there is no specific expiation for them except sincere repentance (cessation, regret, and determination not to return to it). As for foreplay without penetration, it is permissible if it does not lead to penetration, but it is better to avoid it.
