Is a woman required to cover her face from other women?

The 'awrah (intimate parts) of a woman in relation to other women is the area between the navel and the knee. It is permissible for her to look at any other part of another woman's body, unless there is lust or fear of fitnah (temptation/strife). If a woman covers her face in front of her female peers, there is no sin upon her; rather, she has forgone a permissible act for a benefit or to avert harm.
