Where in the prayer are the supplications made?

The positions for supplication (Du'a) in prayer are of two types:

First, those for which evidence has specified the desirability of prolonging supplication within them. These are: during prostration (sujud), after the final Tashahhud and before the Taslim (salutation of peace), and during the Qunut of Witr prayer.

Second, positions where the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, made supplication, but without prolonging it. These are: the opening supplication (Du'a al-Istiftah), during bowing (ruku'), after rising from bowing, between the two prostrations, during recitation, and during Qunut al-Nawazil (supplication for calamities).

The most emphasized positions for supplication in general are prostration and after the final Tashahhud.
