What are the rights of brothers, sisters, and parents upon a man?

Brothers and sisters are among the kin whom the Shari'ah has commanded to maintain ties with, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Allah the Almighty says: 'I am Ar-Rahman (the Most Merciful), and this kinship (Rahim) – I have derived a name for it from My Name. So, whoever maintains ties with it, I will maintain ties with him, and whoever severs it, I will sever him.'" And he said: "Whoever wishes that his lifespan be extended and his provision be expanded, let him maintain ties with his kin." They have rights in common with other Muslims, but their rights are more emphasized, including: greeting them, accepting their invitations, saying 'Yarhamukallah' to them when they sneeze, visiting them when they are sick, attending their funerals, fulfilling their oaths, advising them, protecting them in their absence, loving good for them, and hating evil for them. Among the rights is also not to harm them with word or deed, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A Muslim is one from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe."
