Does a woman feel the onset of menstruation before she menstruates, and is it permissible for a man to approach his wife on the first wedding night if it coincides with the night of menstruation?

Menstruation is blood that exits a woman's uterus after puberty at specific times. It is black, hot, and impure. Allah, the Almighty, says: (And they ask you about menstruation. Say, "It is an aḏā (harm/impurity), so keep away from women during menstruation. And do not approach them until they are pure.") It is not permissible for a menstruating woman to carry or touch the Qur'an, nor to pray, fast, or perform circumambulation (tawaf). She must make up for missed fasts but not for missed prayers. It is not permissible for a man to have intercourse with his wife while she is menstruating. Also, it is unanimously impermissible to have anal intercourse with a woman, whether she is menstruating or not, due to the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Cursed is he who has intercourse with a woman in her anus."
