It is not permissible to insult "Jesus" (peace be upon him); for he is a prophet, and insulting prophets is an act of disbelief (kufr). Likewise, it is not permissible to insult what the disbelievers venerate, lest they insult Allah and His Messenger, due to Allah's saying: (And do not insult those they invoke other than Allah, lest they insult Allah in enmity without knowledge).
