Is there a prohibition of the fist bump, and is it permissible or forbidden, and does it fall under the prohibition of "talaquh al-barajim" (intertwining of fingers)?

Shaking hands is a Sunnah (definition) prescribed upon meeting, using the palm of the hand, as the companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to do. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There are no two Muslims who meet and shake hands but they are forgiven before they part." As for shaking hands with a fist, it is not prescribed; rather, there is a fear that it might be an imitation of non-Muslims, and it should be abandoned. The hadith (definition) prohibiting the intermingling of knuckles has no basis.
