It is permissible for the pharmacist to separate the gift from the milk carton and dispose of it if he purchases the milk cartons along with the gifts. However, if the company entrusts him with the gifts for distribution, he is not allowed to separate them, because he is an agent for the company. It is not permissible to erase the expiry date from products except by informing the buyer and ensuring there is no harm, in addition to the impermissibility of violating Ministry of Health regulations.
