ما فضل ختم القرآن في ثلاثة أيام وهل وردت أحاديث ترغّب فيه؟

Completing the recitation of the Holy Quran is among the best and most beloved deeds to Allah. It was narrated from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The one who travels and then sets out again." He (Ibn Abbas) explained it as: "He who starts from the beginning of the Quran to its end, whenever he finishes, he starts anew." No hadith has been reported that encourages completing the Quran in three days, except for what Abdullah ibn Amr narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He who recites the Quran in less than three days does not understand it." This means that what is negated is understanding and comprehension, not the reward of recitation. The practices of the predecessors varied regarding the duration of completing the Quran. Some would complete it in two months, or one month, or ten nights, or seven nights, or six, or five, or four, or three. And among them were those who would complete it every day and night, or twice, or thrice, or eight times.
