What is the ruling on a raqi (exorcist) who uses Muslim jinn for treatment, while being unaware of the prohibition of seeking assistance from jinn, and is he excused for his ignorance in this matter of scholarly disagreement?

Shaykh al-Islam permitted seeking assistance from jinn in matters that are permissible, provided that the one seeking their assistance is knowledgeable of the Sharia and is safe from their deceits and specious arguments. Others, however, hold a different view, due to the lack of safety from their evils and deceptions. If scholars differ on a matter, then a Muslim who has insight into the evidence should follow the opinion that appears to be most correct and is strongest in proof, while being wary of seeking out concessions. As for the common person, they should consult someone whom they trust for their knowledge and piety among the people of knowledge, and they are excused if they adopt the opinion to which their heart inclines.
