Is it permissible for children to draw animals or living beings?

It is not permissible to draw or depict animate beings, whether by sculpting or drawing on paper, cloth, or similar materials. This is based on the حديث (Hadith) of Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, the makers of these images will be tormented on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be said to them: 'Give life to what you have created.'" And in the Hadith, it is mentioned that angels do not enter a house in which there are images. Imam An-Nawawi mentioned that depicting animate beings is strictly forbidden and is considered one of the major sins. The guardian of a child is obliged to prevent them from what is forbidden and accustom them to good. He should also look for permissible alternatives, such as drawing vegetables, fruits, trees, and everything that does not possess a soul.
