What is the ruling on a Muslim asking God to change his physical characteristics and to obtain worldly and religious miracles, such as increasing intelligence, memorizing the Qur'an, and acquiring skills, while believing in God's ability to achieve this overnight?

It is desirable for a Muslim to supplicate to Allah with comprehensive prayers for the good of this world and the Hereafter, especially those reported in the Qur'an and Sunnah. Transgression in supplication occurs by asking for the impossible, the forbidden, or that which contradicts Allah's established ways. The response to supplication takes three forms: hastening the request, storing it for the Hereafter, or averting an equivalent evil. The supplicant should ask Allah while being accompanied by choosing the best (for them), and should not assume that Allah's giving or withholding is an indication of the servant's honor or disgrace.
