Is a person's attainment of everything they wish for and ask of God, despite their lack of strict religious commitment, considered a trial from God?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Everything that happens to a person in their life is a trial. Religious observance is an act of worship to Allah, and it is a necessary obligation that should not be diminished for fear of being accused of extremism. Allah is near; He answers those who respond and obey His commands. Allah's answering of supplications is out of His grace and benevolence, and a Muslim must feel shame before their Lord by embracing obedience, not disobedience and hardness of heart, and by hastening to repentance and returning to Allah.
