A wife must obey her husband in what he commands her, unless this obedience leads to a sin, or causes her harm, or infringes upon her rights. It is permissible for a woman to cut and dye her hair, as long as it does not involve imitating men, or disbelieving women, or immoral women, or dyeing it black. However, she is not allowed to do so if her husband does not permit it, because she must obey him and because he has a right for his wife to beautify herself for him.
