What is the ruling on selling human organs?

Some scholars have permitted organ donation out of necessity, provided there is no danger to the donor and the organ is suitable for the recipient, bearing in mind that selling organs is forbidden because a human being is not an object for sale. The intention must be to do good, relieve distress, and seek reward from Allah. There is no harm in accepting money as a reward if it was not sought after.
