Is it permissible to use the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, "Indeed, the heart grieves, and the eye sheds tears, and we say nothing but what pleases our Lord, and we are saddened by your departure, O Ibrahim," in elegizing a stock whose price has fallen?

It is permissible to quote from the Qur’an and Hadith (definition) for legitimate purposes that do not involve belittlement or mockery. Therefore, there is no blame on someone who cries over the loss of their wealth if they are genuinely sad. However, a Muslim should not grieve excessively over the loss of worldly fortunes; rather, they should focus on the Hereafter. It has been narrated from the Salaf that they were patient in the face of calamities, and that a Muslim should consider their calamity to be in their religion, not in their worldly life.
