Is it obligatory to repeat the prayer if ablution is invalidated during the prostration of forgetfulness?

If a person invalidates their ablution during the prostration of forgetfulness (sujud al-sahw) before the salutation (taslim), their prayer becomes void. However, if the prostration is performed after the salutation, their prayer remains valid. Some scholars have elaborated on this ruling: some hold that their prayer becomes void, while others are of the view that their prayer is valid if they perform ablution and then complete the prostration.
