Are deeds raised to Allah? And is one sinful for quarreling with his sister due to her disrespecting him, listening to music, and raising her voice at him, considering that he hit her after her parents intervened and forbade him from doing so?

Allah has commanded the maintenance of kinship ties (silat al-rahim) and forbidden their severance. Therefore, it is not permissible for you to cut ties with your sister. It is obligatory for you to maintain kinship with her, even if only through speech or greetings of peace. An exception to this is the permissibility of estrangement (hajr) to prevent harm if harm is certain to result from maintaining ties.

Severing kinship ties carries serious implications, for it has been reported that the deeds of disputing parties are not raised until they reconcile. You can advise your sister and involve your parents to encourage her to adhere to proper conduct.

You must also forbid her from listening to unlawful music, as it is a reprehensible act whether it is done in your presence or when she is alone.
