The answer

The schools of thought of the scholars regarding the impurity of the dog have been previously mentioned. The Maliki school holds its saliva to be pure, and it is permissible to follow this opinion for ease, and the common person is not obligated to follow a specific school of thought. As for the dog's excrement, it is considered impure according to the Malikis, but it is not obligatory to wash the impurity seven times, except for the vessel in which the dog has lapped, which is recommended to be washed seven times. If the dog is not permitted to be kept, it must be removed from the house immediately. The conditions for the permissibility of owning dogs have been previously explained.
