Among the beneficial books on the ailments of the hearts are:

"Amrad al-Quloob wa Shifa'uha" (Ailments of the Hearts and Their Cures) by Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah.

"Ighathat al-Lahfan" by Ibn al-Qayyim.

The "Rub' al-Muhlikat" (Quarter of the Destructive Evils) from "Ihya' Ulum al-Din" (Revival of the Religious Sciences), and its abridgments such as: "Mukhtasar Minhaj al-Qasidin" by al-Maqdisi, and "Tahdhib Maw'izhat al-Mu'minin" by al-Qasimi.

"Mawsu'at Fiqh al-Quloob" (Encyclopedia of the Jurisprudence of the Hearts) by al-Tuwaijri.
