Does adhering to religion in the West, and inviting one's parents to pray and fast, constitute disobedience to them?

Obeying Allah is obligatory, and honoring one's parents does not entail disobeying the Creator. Growing a beard and praying in congregation are obligatory and must not be abandoned for anyone's sake. Furthermore, inviting to Allah, enjoining good, and forbidding evil are among the best qualities of the Ummah. However, this does not mean mistreating or being harsh with one's parents. Rather, one must treat them with kindness and righteousness, even if they command polytheism. Nevertheless, there is no obedience to them in disobedience to Allah. A balance must be struck between obeying Allah and pleasing one's parents, and an attempt should be made to convince them that obedience to Allah cannot be postponed, and that the fundamental purpose of creating jinn and humans is to worship Allah.
