Is the Hadith Qudsi, "Allah the Almighty said: 'Whoever knows Me loves Me, and whoever loves Me adores Me, and whoever adores Me seeks Me, and whoever seeks Me, I kill him, and whoever I kill, his blood money is incumbent upon Me, and whoever his blood money is incumbent upon Me, I am his blood money, and whoever I am his blood money, there is no difference between him and Me,'" authentic?

This hadith has not been found in the well-known Islamic collections (dawawin) nor in the books that discuss weak and fabricated hadiths. Therefore, it is not permissible to attribute it to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Signs of falsehood and fabrication are evident in it, as it is impossible for there to be no difference between the Creator and the created. Allah Almighty says: ﴿There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer.﴾ [Ash-Shura:11], and ﴿Do you know of any [other] for Him a namesake?﴾ [Maryam:65]. Ibn al-Jawzi mentioned that a fabricated hadith is one that contradicts reason, or goes against established texts, or contravenes fundamental principles. As-Suyuti stated that its contradiction of fundamental principles means its absence from the known Islamic collections.
