How sound is the sacred Hadith (Hadith Qudsi) that states: "O son of Adam, do not fear anyone with authority as long as My authority endures, and My authority shall never cease. O son of Adam, do not fear scarcity of provision, for My treasuries are full and My treasuries shall never be exhausted. O son of Adam, do not seek other than Me, for I am for you; if you seek Me, you will find Me, but if you miss Me, you will miss out, and goodness will elude you. O son of Adam, I created you for worship, so do not play; and I allotted your provision to you, so do not toil. For if you are content with what I have allotted to you, I will relieve your heart and body, and you will be praiseworthy in My sight"?

This hadith has not been found attributed to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, in the well-known Islamic collections nor in books of fabricated hadith. Therefore, it is impermissible to attribute it to him. Such a hadith is categorized as "fabricated" or "having no basis." Ibn al-Jawzi said, "If you see a hadith that contradicts reason, or opposes transmitted texts, or contradicts fundamental principles, then know that it is fabricated." This hadith was found in Ibn Arabi's "Al-Futuhat al-Makkiyya" and Al-Khatib al-Baghdadi's "Tarikh Baghdad" as a saying of Ka'b al-Ahbar. However, its attribution to him cannot be definitively confirmed due to the lack of an isnad (chain of narration). Even if its attribution to him were authentic, it would then be considered among the Isra'iliyyat (narrations of Jewish or Christian origin).
