Is it permissible to have love that reaches the point of infatuation and wishing for marriage, while drawing closer to the other party without committing a sin?

Love sickness is an ailment of the heart that afflicts a heart devoid of the love of Allah. If it occurs without human causation, then one is excused. Its cure is marriage. If marriage is not possible, then it is obligatory to avoid meeting, being alone, and conversing, as these lead to forbidden acts. It is also obligatory to occupy oneself with acts of obedience, supplication, and humble entreaty to Allah to avert it.
