What is the ruling on the prayers that the questioner performed during the month in which she considered the yellowish and brownish discharge to be menstruation, and must they be made up, knowing that she follows the view of Ibn Taymiyyah regarding not re-performing the prayer?

The relied-upon fatwa (definition) by us is that yellowish and brownish discharges are considered menses if they occur within the period of one's regular cycle or if they are connected to blood. When a layperson is faced with differing opinions among the madhahib (schools of thought), they should follow someone whose knowledge and piety they trust. There is nothing upon you in all the circumstances where you followed a scholar whose fatwa you trusted, and you are not required to make up the prayers for the periods you abstained from them, following those who consider yellowish and brownish discharges to be menses absolutely.
