It is not permissible to use magic for revenge, because it is an act of disbelief in Allah. It is also not permissible to counter magic with magic, even in retribution. Rather, the sorcerer is to be executed by the sword. It is permissible to supplicate against oppressors without transgression, and to refer the matter to the court with the presentation of evidence. Do not fear magic, for it only affects by Allah's permission, and you must protect yourself with the preventative means.
