What is the ruling on one who sexually molested his daughter, then repented thereafter?

The person who committed this act must offer sincere repentance to Allah Almighty, by abandoning the sin, regretting it, and resolving not to return to it. It is forbidden for him to publicize this act; rather, he must conceal it. He must adhere to the company of righteous people, be diligent in religious obligations, and steadfastly engage in seeking forgiveness (istighfar) and supererogatory acts of worship, while avoiding places of temptation and not being alone with his daughter.
