Does confessing to a mistake by saying "I apologize for the error" to someone who is originally in the wrong fall under what is forbidden (haram)?

There is no sin upon you in apologizing to the man, even if you believe he is in the one at fault, whether your intention is to please Allah or to be rid of his anger and argumentation.
