What is the method for fulfilling a vow to feed 50 needy persons if the father is cured, what is the amount of food, is it permissible to provide it from restaurants, when must it be fulfilled, and must they be fed all at once?

Undertaking a conditional vow (Nathr Mu’allaq) is disliked, but it must be fulfilled if it is an act of obedience to Allah. The vowed feeding should be from the average food people consume, such as rice and wheat. Its measure is a Mudd of wheat or half a Sa’ of dates or barley for each needy person. Providing ready meals is sufficient. Fulfillment of the vow becomes obligatory upon the complete realization of the condition. If you intended to disburse it all at once, then you must do so when able. If you did not intend to disburse it all at once, you may pay whenever it is feasible for you, and it is not required to disburse everything at one time.
