If you uttered a clear divorce statement, being aware and in control of your faculties, and not overwhelmed, then your divorce is effective, even if you were angry or did not intend the divorce. Intention is not a condition for the occurrence of divorce when explicitly stated. However, if anger caused you to lose consciousness and overwhelmed your mind, then your divorce is not effective. In the event of a divorce, and if the number of pronouncements has not reached three, you may take back your wife before her 'iddah (waiting period) ends.
