Does a wife discharge her liability by returning money she took from her husband without his knowledge by purchasing something for him, or must she give him the money in cash?

It is obligatory to return what was taken from the husband. So if the price of the mobile phone that the wife paid was 100 Riyals or more, then her responsibility for what the husband had against her is cleared, because she returned to him the same kind of what she took from him.
