Is it permissible to buy food without the knowledge of the father who prevents his children from [eating] many foods, and sometimes they do not find anything to eat despite his wealth, [and is this permissible] in order to satisfy hunger and avoid his anger?

If a father abstains from spending what is obligatory on his poor and needy children, then they may take from his money what suffices them, in a reasonable manner, without his knowledge. However, if he does not withhold from them what suffices them, or if they are self-sufficient and do not need the maintenance, then it is not permissible for them to take from his money without his consent.
